HRMS software for Oman
Short answer
Eaglora is a web-based HR and payroll system built for employers in the Sultanate of Oman. It produces the Salary Information Files required by the Wage Protection System, calculates Social Protection Fund contributions on basic wage plus housing allowance, tracks Omanisation ratios, and accrues end-of-service gratuity monthly — with a full Arabic and English interface.
What an Omani employer is required to do, and how Eaglora handles it
Each row states what the regulation requires, then what the product does. Sources are cited in the linked guide.
| Obligation | What the regulation requires | What Eaglora does |
|---|---|---|
| Wage Protection System | Pay wages through a CBO-regulated bank and file a Salary Information File with the Ministry of Labour within three days of the end of the wage period. | The file is built from the payroll run itself, with field and account validation before export. |
| Social Protection Fund | Register employees and remit contributions monthly on the statutory base. | Contributions calculated automatically on basic wage plus housing allowance. |
| Omanisation | Meet the Omanisation ratio set for your sector, assessed continuously against Ministry records. | Nationality mix tracked continuously with history, and visible at the recruitment pipeline stage. |
| End-of-service gratuity | A Labour Law entitlement payable when employment ends. | Accrued monthly so the liability stays visible, rather than calculated at exit. |
On statutory figures
No percentage, deadline or penalty appears on this site without a primary source and the date it was checked. Available sources currently disagree on the Social Protection Fund contribution split, so we do not state a figure until it is confirmed with the Fund directly.
Why software built for India or "the Gulf" generally does not fit
More than half of what an Indian payroll engine does — TDS, Form 16, investment declarations, Professional Tax — is irrelevant in Oman, which levies no personal income tax on individuals. Meanwhile three things India barely has become the entire job: WPS file generation, nationality-based quota reporting, and gratuity accrual.
Wage Protection System
Wages paid through a CBO-regulated bank, with a Salary Information File filed to the Ministry of Labour.
Social Protection Fund
Contributions calculated on basic wage plus housing allowance, remitted monthly.
Omanisation
Sector quotas for Omani nationals, assessed continuously against Ministry records.
End-of-service gratuity
Accrued each month under the Labour Law, payable when employment ends.
