E Eaglora

WPS payroll software for Oman

Short answer

Eaglora builds the Wage Protection System Salary Information File directly from the payroll run and validates required fields and employee bank details before export. Errors surface against the employee record inside your own system, days before the deadline, instead of appearing as a rejected upload afterwards.

The file comes from the payroll run, not a spreadsheet

The recurring failure in Omani payroll teams is a split between where payroll is calculated and where the WPS file is assembled. Payroll runs in one place, the file is built by hand in another, and each month that gap has to be bridged again.

Every bridge is an opportunity for the two to disagree, and when a file is rejected the investigation starts from the file rather than the run that produced it — the slowest possible place to start. Eaglora generates the file from the run itself, so there is nothing to reconcile.

Validation happens before the file leaves the system

A Salary Information File is validated as a whole. One malformed field in one employee row can reject the entire submission, and the failure is reported at upload — often weeks after the data was entered by someone else.

Eaglora checks the file before export and reports problems against the employee record they came from, so they are fixed where they can actually be fixed.

  • Bank account details that are well-formed but do not match the named employee
  • Employee records missing an identifier the file format requires
  • Wage periods in the wrong format
  • Rows for employees who left before the declared period
  • Encoding problems in names where Arabic and Latin text are mixed

The three-day clock is a process problem, not a payroll one

Wages must reach the employee account within three days of the end of the wage period, and the clock runs from the end of the period rather than from internal payroll approval. An approval cycle that habitually finishes on day three leaves no margin for a bank rejection.

Because Eaglora surfaces validation errors as soon as the run is calculated, the corrections happen inside the window rather than consuming it.

Common questions

Does Eaglora generate the WPS SIF file?

Yes. The Salary Information File is generated in the Ministry of Labour format directly from the payroll run, with validation before export.

What happens if our WPS file is rejected?

A rejected file does not count as filed, so the employer is non-compliant for that wage period until a corrected file is accepted. Eaglora validates before export specifically to keep that from happening.

Does WPS apply to small employers in Oman?

Yes. The Wage Protection System applies to private-sector employers with at least one employee. There is no headcount exemption.

Can we use Eaglora only for WPS filing?

The file is generated from payroll data, so payroll needs to be in the system. Attendance, leave and the rest of the modules are optional.
